I don't know what the difference is in the material but I'm never going back to standard polyurethane wheels if I can help it. I've been skating for over 20 years and I've never felt a nicer riding wheel.
They felt springy and 'already warmed up' as soon as I put them on. The grip is great for powering around carves but you can turn it off at any point and make the most beautiful screeching powerslide music.

“I've ridden the spf with super swiss 6 ball bearings and their the best on the streets, I can keep up with longboards bombing hills, take corners as fast as them (although I'm sliding while they grip)even have pebbles I hit bounce off my wheels rather than kill me, and still slide good on nose and tail slides. also, nothing can compare in a pool. keep making the best wheels on earth”

“For years I've been very dedicated to bones swiss bearing and bushing but stayed faithful to spitfire wheels just out of habit but after my wife picked me up some of the stf wheels (he remembers how much I love the bearings and bushings) she figured I would like the wheels too. I guess not too surprisingly I was stoked on the wheels from the first amazingly smooth roll, I find that when I'm locked into a grind the they don't slow me down like other wheels and I have yet to get a flat spot regardless of how sketchy I land stuff. I know for a fact that from now on these will be the only wheels I skate from now on.

“just got the softcore 52 mm wheels. They are much faster and smoother than any other wheel i have ever been on before. They even roll over water drains without to much vibration. THey are a bit slippery and it can slide back and forth going fast but hopefully they will break in and be better. some people will say these wheels arnt good for technical skating. I found that some of my tricks seem easier though it might just be in my head. im glad i bought these wheels though.”

“I've been outta the skate scene for about 13 years. It was my life and passion to skate, but drugs and women strayed me away from what is now my favorite moments in life, skating. Thanks to somebody leaving their board in the local bar and not claiming it, I scooped it up started riding again. My son is 10 and has been skating with me for a year now. I'm now 34 years old and love skating again. So many things changed in skateboarding. The companies, decks, pros, tricks,all so different. “I just got my set of 62mm SPFs yesterday. Set them up with Rockin Rons bearings and skated the Chandler and Tempe skateparks this morning. Total speed! These are the best wheels I've ever skated. Speed, grip and they slide when I want them to. Awesome!”

“these wheels are the SHIT! i have only had my first set of stf's for three months or so and they still havnt flattspotted or gotten fucked up the slightest bit. they do get a little rough on bumpy streets so i wana try the dtf or atf but im sure that all bones wheels are the crype, does anyone recomend any of the other wheels types beside stf? i dont know which kind to buy
